Earn with SiteHub — Programme Terms
The terms that govern the Earn with SiteHub programme.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
These Programme Terms govern your participation in the Earn with SiteHub programme ("the Programme"). They are a binding agreement between you ("the Participant", "you") and SiteHub ("we", "us", "our"). By applying to, being approved for, or participating in the Programme you accept these Programme Terms, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference. Where these Programme Terms conflict with the general Terms & Conditions in relation to the Programme, these Programme Terms prevail.
1. Definitions
- Programme role — your role in the Programme: Refer a friend and Affiliate earn a one-off reward per referred customer who activates; Sales consultant and Design consultant earn recurring commission on a referred customer’s eligible SiteHub spend, for as long as the consultant remains actively selling.
- Referred customer — a business that signs up to SiteHub through your referral link or by entering your referral code, and is attributed to you.
- Attribution — the link between a referred customer and you, captured at the customer’s sign-up and set once. A customer can be attributed to at most one Participant.
- Eligible revenue — amounts actually paid by a referred customer to SiteHub for its services, excluding VAT, pass-through and metered usage charges, third-party costs, credits, discounts and refunds.
- Commission — the reward or percentage payable to you under these Programme Terms, at the rates in effect when it is earned.
2. Eligibility & approval
Participation is by application and is at our sole discretion. We may approve, decline, or later suspend or remove any Participant without giving reasons. Design consultants must demonstrate suitable design skills to qualify. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to contract. You must provide accurate application, contact, tax and (where paid by EFT) banking information and keep it up to date. Refer-a-friend participants need no application — the customer simply enters the referrer’s email at sign-up. Commission accrues only while your Programme account is in good standing.
3. Referrals & attribution
- A referral is credited to you when a new customer signs up through your referral link or enters your referral code at sign-up (or shortly after, where our tools allow), and no prior attribution exists for that customer.
- Attribution is set once per customer and is not transferable. Where a customer could be attributed to more than one Participant, the first valid attribution applies.
- An attribution window may apply: a code can only be applied before the customer’s first site is activated and within the window we publish from time to time. After that, no attribution is created.
- You may not refer yourself, your own accounts, or businesses you control, and you may not enter your own code against your own sign-up. Self-referrals are void.
4. Commission
Commission rates, reward amounts, the attribution window, the validation period and the minimum payout threshold are set by SiteHub and are configurable and may change from time to time. The rates and amounts shown in your earnings dashboard at the time a commission is earned are the ones that apply to that commission. Depending on your Programme role:
- Refer a friend / Affiliate: a one-off reward for each referred customer who activates a paid SiteHub site, paid once per referred customer.
- Sales consultant / Design consultant: a percentage of each referred customer’s eligible revenue, recurring for as long as the customer remains a paying SiteHub customer. Recurring commission is only earned while the consultant is active — a consultant who makes no new sale within the dormancy period we publish (currently three months) becomes dormant and their recurring commission pauses until they make a new sale, resuming from that point. Dormant periods are not back-paid.
Customer discount. A customer who enters a valid code (or, for refer-a-friend, the referrer’s email) receives a discount on their first payment to SiteHub, at the rate we publish from time to time (currently 10%). Commission is calculated on the amount SiteHub actually receives after that discount.
Commission is calculated on eligible revenue only. VAT, metered/pass-through usage, third-party charges (such as domains or messaging fees), credits and discounts are excluded from the calculation.
5. Validation, refunds & clawback
Newly-earned commission is first recorded as provisional. After the validation period has elapsed it becomes payable. This window allows for refunds, chargebacks, cancellations and corrections.
If an invoice underlying a commission is refunded, reversed, charged back or voided, the related commission is reversed. Where the commission has not yet been paid to you, it is cancelled; where it has already been paid, the corresponding amount is clawed back and deducted from your next payout(s). We may also make manual adjustments to correct errors, duplicate attributions, or breaches of these Programme Terms. Your dashboard reflects these adjustments so your balance remains accurate.
6. Payment
- Refer a friend rewards are paid as SiteHub account credit — applied against the referrer’s next payment to SiteHub. No banking details are required. If you want cash payouts, join as an Affiliate instead.
- Affiliate and consultant earnings are paid by EFT to the South African bank account you provide, in South African Rand.
- Payment is made once your payable balance reaches the published minimum payout threshold. Balances below the threshold roll over.
- For EFT payouts you must have provided valid banking details and accepted these Programme Terms before any payout is made. You are responsible for the accuracy of your banking details; we are not liable for payments sent to details you supplied.
- You are solely responsible for your own tax affairs, including any income tax and, where applicable, VAT, arising from commission you receive. Amounts are treated as inclusive of any VAT for which you may be liable unless you are a registered VAT vendor and we agree otherwise in writing.
- We may withhold or delay payment where we reasonably suspect fraud, a breach of these Programme Terms, or where required by law.
7. Conduct & prohibited activity
You agree that you will not:
- Make false, misleading or exaggerated claims about SiteHub, its pricing, or its features.
- Use spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or any marketing that breaches POPIA or other applicable law.
- Bid on or use SiteHub trademarks, brand names or misspellings in paid search, or register domains or social handles that impersonate SiteHub.
- Generate referrals through fraud, incentivised sign-ups, self-referrals, fake accounts, cookie-stuffing, or automated means.
- Offer unauthorised rebates, or represent yourself as an employee, agent or official reseller of SiteHub without our written consent.
- Bring SiteHub into disrepute or breach any applicable advertising, consumer-protection or data-protection law.
Breach of this section entitles us to reverse affected commission, withhold payment, and suspend or terminate your participation.
8. Use of brand & materials
Subject to these Programme Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use SiteHub’s name, logo and approved marketing materials solely to promote SiteHub during your participation. You may not modify the marks, use them in a misleading way, or imply a partnership beyond the Programme. All goodwill in the marks vests in SiteHub. This licence ends automatically when your participation ends.
9. Relationship of the parties
You participate as an independent contractor. Nothing in these Programme Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship. You have no authority to bind SiteHub, incur liabilities on its behalf, or make representations or warranties for it. You are responsible for your own costs, taxes and compliance.
10. Data protection (POPIA)
Any personal information you handle in connection with the Programme must be collected and processed lawfully in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You must not share personal information of prospective customers with us other than as needed for a referral, and you must obtain any consents required for your own marketing. Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to the Programme
We may change, pause or discontinue the Programme, or amend these Programme Terms, rates, reward amounts, windows and thresholds, at any time. Where changes are material we will give reasonable notice by email or via your dashboard. Changes apply to commission earned after the change takes effect; commission already earned is governed by the terms in effect when it was earned. Your continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance.
12. Suspension & termination
Either party may terminate participation at any time on written notice. We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately for breach of these Programme Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law.
On termination your referral link and code are deactivated and any brand licence ends. Payable commission validly earned before termination, and not subject to reversal, will be paid at the next payout cycle provided your account is in good standing. Provisional commission that has not validated, and commission tainted by breach or fraud, is forfeited. Recurring commission ceases on termination.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SiteHub is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of anticipated commission or profit, arising from the Programme. Our total cumulative liability to you in connection with the Programme shall not exceed the total commission properly paid or payable to you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Governing law
These Programme Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
